Would you like to learn to embellish garments, decorate soft furnishings, or develop your creative practice using applique? On this course you will learn a range of machine and hand sewing techniques as ways of successfully applying textiles to backgrounds.
The morning will be spent experimenting with the use of different stitches, as well as fusing, layering, slashing and reverse applique. And the afternoon will be dedicated to individual projects. You may wish to bring along a garment to embellish, make a cushion or a bag, work on an art project, or simply continue to experiment with techniques that have triggered your imagination.
