About your Teacher:
Karen Berry is a textile artist and an expert teacher of patchwork, quilting and applique. She is a font of all knowledge when it comes to patchwork and quilting, and even presents on the history and traditions of this ancient craft.
Maximum class size of 8.
Ideal for complete beginners and those with more experience.
Karen suggests that you bring 6 quarter metres of coloured fabric (plains or prints), plus a quarter metre of background fabric to the first session. You will need to buy more as you go along depending on how large you want your quilt to be, but this amount will get you started.
The quilt will need more background fabric, but sometimes it's difficult to visualize how the quilt might look until a couple of blocks have been made up - so it's probably best not to buy metres of the background fabric immediately, in case you have a change of heart.
12 weekly sessions during term time.
Workshops are held in our colourful and cosy studio, above the shop. There is lots of space to spread out and a separate chill out area to have a break. The shop is located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
