This hands-on workshop will equip you with a bundle of professional techniques in dress making and turn your sewing into something to be proud of.
Maria will teach you how to sew all sorts of seams including basic, curved, piped and overlocked. She will move on to buttonholes, facings, tailor tacks, darts, understitching, set in sleeves, zips and bias binding. She will also explain when and how to use these techniques in order to achieve the best results from your sewing. Many of these are transferable skills to other areas of sewing too - so this course is not just for dressmaking.
About your Teacher:
Maria is an incredible pattern cutter, designer and seamstress. Maria has her own bespoke dressmaking studio here at Clothkits.
Class Size: Maximum class size of 8.
Skills: Ideal for those with a little bit of confidence using a machine (threading, regular sewing etc), but wanting to learn techniques.
Materials: All materials are included.
Course Duration: 1 full day
Venue: The workshop is held in our modern and vibrant studio at the Clothkits shop. We are located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
