This is a fantastic course designed for those who have some dressmaking and sewing experience but would like to be guided through the process of making a garment with a commercial pattern. It's ideal for demystifying the terminology pattern designers use, for learning how to make tweaks to the pattern to get a perfect fit and no doubt you will learn some top tips along the way from Maria.
Bring along a pattern of your choice that is suited to your ability. We have lots here to choose from and we're always happy to offer our advice. You will also need to bring all the fabric and notions for the pattern.
About your Teacher:
Maria is an incredible pattern cutter, designer and seamstress with a wealth of sewing knowledge and experience.
Class Size: Maximum class size of 5.
Skills: Basic sewing knowledge is required
Materials: You will need a paper pattern, fabric and haberdashery / notions to complete your project.
Course Duration: 3 full days.
The next course will start on Tuesday 18th June from 10am - 4pm and run for 3 consecutive weeks.
Venue: The workshop is held in our modern and vibrant studio at the Clothkits shop. We are located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
