Canvas

Quality Zweigart 14 hpi canvas printed with the design and a strip of colour blocks down one side for you to use as a shade card, simply cut down the dashed line as indicated and match your wool to each corresponding block. The Appleton shade numbers are also listed next to each colour so that if you loose any wool it's easy to quote the shade code for a replacement.

Wool

Ample amounts of Appleton brothers 4 ply tapestry wool is included, enough to stitch with the basketweave technique. Only one strand of wool is needed in the needle for ease of stitching.
All wool is supplied in neat twisted uncut hanks, if there are two shades of a similar colour they will be already added to your shade strip.

Metallic Wool (where applicable)

The metallic wool supplied has been specially sourced not only for its sparkly nature but also for its soft textural quality, usually an uncommon characteristic of most scratchy metallic threads. You only need to use one strand in the needle for ease of stitching.

Needles

Not one but two quality John James tapestry needles- just in case you loose one! Keep both threaded if you're a speedy stitcher.

Threader

A welcome addition to any stitching enthusiasts sewing box, the needle threader provided is made from strong metal so it's perfect for threading thick tapestry wool. You'll be using it long after you've finished your kit!

Full instructions are provided including detailed diagrams of how to stitch using the basketweave technique and continental tent stitch, along with blocking instructions.

A colour illustration is provided for aid with colour placement, this can also be used as a chart.
