I was delighted to find this new Clothkits site….I wore many outfits as a child, my last was a pair of stripey dungarees bought when working in Hastings for the summer when a student in 1985, but made by my mother. My children now wear my sun hats, which are similar in shape to those in your archive photos.

I, too, have so many memories linked with Clothkits. It quite brought a lump to my throat to think they might be coming back. I was a teenager in the 70's and my mother was a Clothkits fanatic - I learned to sew by making up umpteen outfits throughout my teens and kept some of the best of the dresses until very recently. I still have a velvet jacket which was one of the most complex patterns I made up and of which I was very proud.

My mother made loads of clothes for my children and we went into mourning when they finally closed down!

I tried to teach my daughter to sew from paper patterns recently and it brought lots of loving memories of my mother teaching me to sew but it wasn't the same - I really hope you expand your range soon.

I'm so pleased to see Clothkits coming back. By pure luck I am wearing a Clothkits dress right now!! I bought it in 1990 from shop in Bath which had some ready made items. It is wearing very thin on one shoulder, but still going strong and my favourite summer dress (took it to Glastonbury last summer).

Looking forward to more adult stuff being available

How very pleased I am to see clothkits back, I did not see any of the publicity when it was launched, but for some reason yesterday, just googled clothkits……and amazingly here you are!

My kids were all clothkitted out - and me - and my husband ! I'm not sure where I found the time……The best things for my two very naughty boys were the bright striped jumpers and T shirts - we never lost them for long - they used to run away regularly at county shows or in supermarkets, and the clothes were wonderful identifiers.

I do hope that you get lots of customers - there are a lot of us out there still…I thought I had nothing left that I still wear (I do have a little stash carefully folded in the attic) but I suddenly remembered two pairs of flowery shorts that I have been wearing in the summer for the last - can it really be - 18 years. They are known as Mum's old holiday shorts, as in all the photos - there I am in the same colourful, comfortable shorts. I shall definitely be ordering a skirt, and hopefully more as you add to the range.
