HI,

I loved all my clothkits clothes as a girl in the 1970s and 80s, I missed you! I especially loved the knitted dresses and had about 3!

I am lucky enough to have three baby boys now, and no girls to make little dresses for. Please can we have cool boys things as it is very hard to find ANYTHING out there that's not blue or broooown (boring). Suggest: green purple, or orange kits for shirts, tops, and dungarees, plus matching socks etc (as you used to sell matching tights for girls - the joy of a matching knitted dress and tights was great). I have twin boys so we need two colourways please…. pretty please.

I await developments,

thanks

I am in exactly the same boat. I was brought up almost entirely in Clothkits and now I have three little boys who love bright colours and would look great in some Trellick Tower dungerees, for example.

Are there plans for more boys clothes? I do hope so.

Yes, more for boys please. My grandsons are 5y and 10m so we need hard wearing and cool designs for the 5y old and easy to get on and off stuff for the 10m old - and please, not blue or brown, I agree, really boring.

My excitement about the return of Clothkits (I too was almost exclusively dressed in Clothkits creations as a child) soon turned to dismay when I discovered the dearth of nice things for boys. I have two sons (1 and 3) who I was ready to dust the sewing machine off for, and still am.

Please NOT dungarees. They are so impractical for potty training!

How's about some nice drawstring cloth trousers for summer?

You also used to do fantastic knitting patterns, really unusual stuff. I'm thinking particularly of a great knitted cardigan I had with sewn on patch pockets and elbow patches. Best of all it was totally unisex and worn proudly by both my younger brothers.

More please!

I'd like to add my support to this plea for more boys stuff! My little boy is just six months and as a keen crafter I'd love to make Clothkits stuff for him, just like my mum did for me and my siblings. I remember my brother had some lovely red and blue dungarees…

I'm also very excited about Kit being reissued. I still have a very well loved Kitty and all her clothes, including the blue bedding set, bright Tropical fruit themed summer outfits and the Romany clothes. She was the first thing I ever saved up for, and I wanted to get a Kit doll a few years later but they were discontinued.

Something else I remember that was great about Clothkits girls dresses were that they lasted for such a long time. I had an orange and red poppy design dress that converted into a skirt when I grew too big for it, and included a miniature version for Kitty. I must have worn the dress/skirt for about 5 years- talk about value for money!
