It has just come to my attention that an earlier (and more confusing!)
version of the dungaree instructions has been inadvertently sent out to a few
clients around Christmas. Trouble is I have no way of knowing who has received
this erroneous batch - if you are confused in any way please let me know by
emailing
info@clothkits.co.uk and I
will send out another or enlighten you by email. Pockets need to be turned,
pressed and tacked at 0.5cm on all sides and then stitched onto the dungarees in
two lines - once very close to the edge, and another 1cm in (have a look at
pockets on jeans to see what you are trying to achieve. So very sorry to anyone
scratching their heads. Another nice way to make a pocket, is to make it lined
- cut out a contrasting piece of fabric using the pocket as a template, and then
right sides together sew all the way round 0.5cm in from the cut edge. Leave an
opening of a few centimeters so that you can turn it through to the right way
and then turn through and press really, really well. Hand sew up the opening
that you turned through, or secure by machine when you sew it onto the dungarees
as before.
Now to delete that file permanently AGAIN! So sorry.
