As a child of the 70s/80s who grew up in Clothkits, I am so excited to hear that it's back now that I'm a mother myself. But how gutted am I to see that the patterns are just for girls? Are clothkits going to do anything for little boys too?
Sorry if I've missed something about this elsewhere on the site, but I couldn't see any mentions. At least this gives me some time to learn how to sew!
Pleeeeeease bring out some designs for little boys too!

I agree only having boys I'd like to see stuff for them too.
There are some cute dungarees with a lion print in the leaflet I got with my order today and I believe they will be available very shortly.

Hello,
I’m so happy that cloth kits has been relaunched, well done! My Mum used to make me and my sisters the clothes when we were little.
I’ve just had a little boy and would love to make him some clothes, I can’t seem to find any boys clothes on the website, will you be doing any boys dungarees etc?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Hannah

I made some lovely stripey dungarees for my boys in the 80s - clothkits were such fun, but the boys rebelled and wanted clothes from the shops just like their friends had!! I seem to remember they did matching jumpers and tights and some rather good woollen outfits for grown ups. with energy costs rising, we might need them back too!
Thank you for bringing them back.

Yes - we are working on boys stuff at the moment, as we are desparately aware of this large hole in our product range! First on offer are the smiley lion dungarees for boys (and girls) age 2 - 4, and these will be available to buy online next week.
Have a look at the page to preorder them here http://www.clothkits.co.uk/?page_id=71&category=13&product_id=64. Priced at £22 they also have a matching dolls outfit printed on the spare bit of cloth - and on that note a boy doll will be available within a month too (kiki desparately needs a chum!)

I adapted a red Clothkits dungarees kit in the late 70s for my husband. Hard work to make, and it nearly killed my sewing machine, but they lasted years and years, and were excellent quality fabric, buttons and clips. I loved the original Clothkits in the 70s and 80s, and had many many pieces; I am glad to see it back. I only have one piece left from the original kits (which is still much loved and occasionally worn), and maybe a couple of tshirts.
I'm already thinking about getting the sewing machine back up and running again - Sadly making your own clothes has become almost a dying art. I live near Lakeside, and there is nowhere to buy fabrics there nowadays…
