In this informative and interactive workshop you'll discover the best styles, shapes, colours, patterns and fabrics for your body shape and proportions. Once you understand why certain details don’t work for you, you'll unleash a whole new, confident, and creative you in your future sewing projects and shopping trips!
Please note that no actual sewing is involved, but your future sewing projects will be significantly more fabulous!
This workshop is ideal for anyone who feels they’ve lost their way in their clothes and style or feels disheartened when they open their wardrobe doors. You’ll get to grips with your body characteristics, your shape, how many angles, how many curves, your proportions . . . and by understanding these characteristics you’ll start to understand which shapes, styles and details work best for you.
What do I need to bring?
A few items of clothing that fall into two categories:
- I love to wear this and feel good when I do
- I like this but never wear it as it doesn’t feel right
About your Teacher:
Jo gained her experience in the fashion industry as a designer/pattern cutter in ladies' outerwear. She has taught adults sewing and pattern cutting skills for over a decade, from absolute beginners sewing to bra making, simple pattern alterations to fitting masterclasses. Jo is an inspiring teacher and encourages creativity and confidence in dressmaking and sewing projects.

Venue: The workshop is held in our modern and vibrant studio at the Clothkits shop. We are located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
