All hats can be made in sizes small, medium or large. To measure your head diameter, extend a tape measure around your forehead and above your ears.
This pattern is sized to:
SMALL= 55cm (21 1/2") diameter, MEDIUM= 57cm (22 1/2") diameter and LARGE= 59cm (23 1/4") diameter.
Tips for measuring your head:
Measure your head by wrapping the tape measure all around your head just above the ears and around the temple and forehead area, pull gently so the measure is taut.
Suitable for wool tweed or checks, denim, corduroy, needlecord, cotton plain or printed.
You will also need:
- 50cm of outer fabric
- 30cm of lining fabric (such as satin or printed or plain cotton)
- Fusible fleece interfacing or wadding
- 20cm piece of medium fusible interfacing
Please take into consideration the pattern direction or pile direction if using corduroy or prints with a direction. Always have pile facing downwards.
Insert a walking foot attachment on your machine if you have one, which will make it easier to sew.
