Possibly the simplest girls skirt using a luxurious cotton and wool blend Liberty Fabric. The print Folk Tails is inspired by folk art and the poem ‘There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly’, and features farmyard animals and stylised florals - it is super cute. The fabric Lantana, is a signature Liberty fabric with a luxurious mid-weight feel. It blends wool and cotton for a finish that drapes beautifully and is touchably soft. It's also machine washable.
The skirt really could not be easier to sew and makes a really good first dressmaking project. Just join up the edges, pop in a channel for your elastic, adorn with ric rac and Bob is your proverbial uncle!
