Designed especially to complement the vintage-inspired Rita Dress, these beautiful detachable sleeves add a little extra coverage while keeping the dress's wonderfully versatile character.
The sleeves are cleverly designed to thread onto the existing ties of the Rita Dress, allowing you to transform your sleeveless summer favourite into a lovely outfit for cooler days. With their gathered shape and elasticated cuffs, they add a soft, romantic finish while remaining comfortable to wear.
Available in two sizes, the sleeves feature elastic beneath the arm and at the cuffs, making the fit flexible and easy to wear. They're a brilliant addition to your handmade wardrobe, giving you even more ways to enjoy your Rita Dress throughout the seasons.
The pattern includes Faith's Making Method, with illustrated instructions and practical techniques developed through her experience creating slow fashion garments.
Suggested Fabrics:
Lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, poplin, linen and soft cotton blends are ideal. Choose a fabric to match your Rita Dress or experiment with a contrasting colour or print.
Fabric Requirements:
Minimum fabric quantities for fabrics without nap, cut flat rather than on the fold:

Measurements are in centimetres and refer to the finished garment, not body measurements.
Choosing Your Size:
Size 1 is designed for approximately UK sizes 6–12, while Size 2 is designed for approximately UK sizes 14–20. As the sleeves have elastic beneath the arms and at the cuffs, there is some flexibility in the fit.
Important: These sleeves are an add-on for the Rita Dress and are not a standalone garment. You will need the separate Rita Dress Sewing Pattern to attach and wear them as intended.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition.
