One of the most striking designs to date, this brilliant big cat is knitted flat on straight needles, no working in the round and uses intermediate colour changes to create those iconic stripes. A perfect challenge for confident knitters who love a project with plenty of personality.
The pattern includes instructions for both the classic orange tiger and a stunning white tiger, so you can stitch your favourite or make a whole pride. Once mounted on the backing board, it’s ready to brighten a wall, a shelf or any cosy nook that needs a playful touch of the wild.

- 50g of Orange Scheepjes River Washed XL - 70% cotton, 30% acrylic
- 50g of Cream Scheepjes Stone Washed XL - 70% cotton, 30% acrylic
- 50g of Black Scheepjes Stone Washed XL - 70% cotton, 30% acrylic
- 5mm (US 8) straight knitting needles
- 2 x 12mm black safety toy eyes and washers

Finished size: Approx 35cm x 40cm x 30cm (14in x 16inx 12in)
Ability: Intermediate, for the confident knitter. There’s colour changing, and a mix of carrying the yarn and intarsia is used.
Stitches Used: Knit, Purl, increasing and decreasing (Kfb, K2tog and SKP), Intarsia colour work and carrying the yarn, mattress stitch for sewing up.
