Modern, confident and beautifully constructed, the Alba Pants are a rewarding make using the impeccably drafted Tessuti pattern. With their softly curved wide leg, cropped length and mid-rise waist, they combine clean tailoring with everyday wearability. A flat faced front, gently elasticated back, classic fly front, shaped back yokes and generous pockets give the finished trousers a refined, workwear-inspired feel.
For this edition, we’ve paired Alba with Liberty Fabrics Bourneville Cotton Drill in Laith - a richly textured floral design inspired by the craftsmanship of the Spitalfields Weavers. Drawn from archival studies of woven brocades, Laith’s graphic botanical waves and synchronised blooms create depth, movement and quiet drama across the cloth. The result is a striking yet sophisticated statement trouser.
Before you Start
This is a more involved project best suited to intermediate makers. We recommend reading through the Tessuti instructions fully before beginning, paying particular attention to the fly front construction and waistband finish.
Take your time with topstitching and pressing - crisp pressing will make all the difference to the final look.
