Looking for a dressmaking project that feels as satisfying to sew as it is to wear? Our Cuff Top Dressmaking Kit brings together The Assembly Line’s much-loved pattern with a beautifully soft yarn-dyed cotton chambray, a fabric that’s a joy to handle and even better to wear.
Easy, elegant and just a little bit addictive, the Cuff Top has earned its place as a firm favourite. With its relaxed, roomy fit and distinctive cap sleeves finished with wide elastic cuffs, it’s a simple silhouette that still feels thoughtfully designed. Wear it tucked into skirts or trousers for a more polished look, or loose for an easy, everyday feel, it’s one of those pieces you’ll reach for again and again.
The pattern included in your kit contains the full size range, so you’ll have everything you need to make this top again and again in different sizes if you wish. Your kit also includes enough fabric and notions to make any size within that range, so you can cut with confidence. The XS-L sizes feature a straight fit with a clean boat neckline, while the XL-3XL sizes are shaped slightly under the arm and include a bust dart, along with a keyhole opening and button fastening at the back for a lovely finishing detail.
There’s also a Cuff Top MINI version available for children, echoing the same simple, stylish design. It features a straight fit, cap sleeves with elastic cuffs and a neat keyhole opening with a snap fastening at the back, with sizes included for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 years.
A brilliant project for building confidence or simply enjoying some unhurried sewing time, this is a top that proves simple can still be special.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
