Nishikiito is a beautiful range of metallic embroidery threads, crafted in Japan using techniques inspired by traditional Kyoto gold thread. Designed for hand embroidery and decorative stitching, these premium threads add shimmer, depth and texture to a wide variety of creative projects.
Each 20 metre skein has its own unique finish, from soft metallic lustre to striking iridescent effects, making the collection ideal for embroidery, embellishment, tassel making and other decorative handcrafts. The threads can be used on their own or combined with other embroidery threads to add highlights and texture.
Thread types:

Nishiki (Blue & Yellow): A round twist metallic thread with a subtle sheen and firm texture. Ideal for hand embroidery, tatting lace and tassel making. Can be used as a single strand or separated for finer work.

Kagami (Grey): A flat twist metallic thread with exceptional brilliance, producing crisp, defined stitches. Soft to handle and perfect for cross stitch and surface embroidery.

Tamamushi (Green/Purple): A flat twist metallic thread with a delicate, film-like texture and an iridescent finish that reflects multiple colours for a truly distinctive effect.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
