Description
Hanoï is a wonderfully versatile baby and children's pattern with three lovely garments to make – a blouse, dress and romper. Each has the same loose, comfortable shape, with pretty gathers at the neckline and a choice of three different sleeve finishes.
Choose sweet cap sleeves, elasticated short sleeves or elasticated long sleeves, making it easy to adapt Hanoï for different seasons. The raglan sleeves and gathered neckline give the pattern its soft, easy shape, while a small button and loop fastening finishes the back. The romper also features an opening at the crotch with snaps or buttons for easier changing.
There is plenty of scope to play with fabric too. Sew a light and breezy summer version in double gauze, linen or seersucker, or choose baby corduroy, soft denim or flannel for cooler days.
Suggested Fabrics:
For warmer weather, try poplin, gingham, plumetis, chambray, linen, double gauze, broderie anglaise, seersucker or viscose. For cooler weather, choose baby corduroy, soft denim or flannel.
