The June Jacket from Atelier Jupe is a wonderfully versatile children's sewing pattern, perfect for making a cosy winter jacket or a lighter layer for those in-between seasons. Based on the popular Dani women's jacket, June has a lovely contemporary shape with plenty of practical details and opportunities to play with colour and fabric.
Choose between a neat stand-up collar or a cosy hood, both finished with a practical front zip. The angled front pockets are just the thing for keeping little hands warm or stashing away small treasures, while the panelled design is ideal for experimenting with contrasting fabrics and colour blocking.
June is fully lined for a lovely finish and can be made in anything from warm wool and teddy fleece to corduroy or sturdy cotton. With options for different seasons and styles, it's a pattern you'll want to make more than once!
This is a paper sewing pattern, supplied with a printed pattern sheet and sewing instructions in English, Dutch and French.
Important to Know: Atelier Jupe patterns are designed to be traced before use. The pattern pieces are overlapping and printed on both sides of the sheet, so tracing is essential.
Sizes: Children's height 92–164cm (approximately ages 2–14 years).
Fabric Suggestions: Medium to heavyweight fabrics including wool, wool blends, teddy fleece, sherpa, corduroy and cotton. Choose a suitable lining fabric to complement your outer fabric.
Fabric Requirements: The following quantities are based on fabric and lining 140cm wide. Requirements vary depending on whether you choose the collar or hood version.
