The Whendy Jacket Sewing Pattern from Cha' Coud is a relaxed, straight-cut jacket designed for easy layering over jumpers and knitwear during the cooler months. With its roomy silhouette, classic shirt-style collar and thoughtful details, Whendy is a wonderfully wearable addition to an autumn and winter wardrobe.
The jacket features a gently rounded shirt collar, a button-through front and two generously sized patch pockets with curved lower corners. Long sleeves are finished with distinctive buttoned tabs at the cuffs, adding a lovely tailored detail that echoes the buttons down the front.
Whendy has a comfortable, slightly oversized fit, making it ideal for sewing in warmer, more substantial fabrics. Choose cosy sherpa for a soft, textured jacket, a wool coating or tweed for a more traditional look, or a reversible quilted double gauze for a lighter but still cosy layer. The simple shape also works beautifully in jacquard fabrics, allowing interesting textures and patterns to take centre stage.
