The Poncho Shirt combines the smart details of a classic shirt with the wonderfully relaxed shape of a poncho. Cut in a flowing half-circle silhouette, it is sewn at the shoulders and underarms to create an easy, draped fit with plenty of movement.
A traditional button front and crisp collar keep things feeling shirt-like, while the generous shape gives it a completely different look. Keep it simple, add a panel or go all out with a frill – there are plenty of ways to make this one your own.
Sizing:
XS–3XL. The Poncho Shirt has a very generous fit, so primarily use your neck measurement when choosing your size. Please refer to the Find Your Size tab for more detailed measurements.
Suggested Fabrics:
Light to medium-weight fabrics work best. Choose something with a little drape if you want to emphasise the soft, flowing shape.

These requirements are for the plain shirt without the panel or frill. Add an extra 0.3m of fabric if making either of these options.
You Will Also Need:
- Fusible interfacing.
- Approximately 10mm diameter shirt buttons – 6 for size S and 7 for sizes L–3XL.
- Matching thread.
Make More With The Pattern:
- Sew the shirt in colour blocks.
- Make the collar in a contrasting fabric.
- Make the frill in lace or add a fringed trim.
- Add a second collar for an extra design detail.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
