The Elastic Tie Sweater combines the easy feel of a sweater with the smart shape of a classic high-neck blouse. Simple but with a lovely bit of detail, it’s an easy-to-wear top that can look quite different depending on the fabric you choose.
The high neckline is gathered with a fine elastic tie, creating soft pleats that cleverly act as bust darts. The length of the elastic can be adjusted to change the amount of gathering and create just the fit you fancy.
The pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope with step-by-step sewing instructions.
Sizing:
Choose from two size ranges: XS–L or XL–3XL. The Elastic Tie Sweater has an almost straight shape with a comfortable amount of ease, so use your chest measurement when choosing your size.
Suggested Fabrics:
Medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton twill, denim or lightweight canvas. Fabric choice will make a real difference to the finished look – choose something with a little structure to show off the shape and gathered neckline.
