Description
A pleated A-line skirt with slanted pockets, side button fastenings and carefully placed pleats to create fullness and movement. Make it in linen for a soft, floaty feel, or choose cotton twill or denim for a smarter, more structured version.
The skirt can be made lined or unlined, making it easy to adapt to different fabrics and seasons.
Sizing: This is a multi-size paper pattern including UK sizes 18–28. The smaller UK 6–18 pattern is also available separately here.
Suitable Fabrics: Linen, cotton poplin, cotton voile, sanded cotton twill, hemp blends, Tencel/linen, needlecord, 4–8oz denim, lightweight wool and Indian handlooms. If using a narrow handloom fabric, some pattern pieces may need to be pieced.
You will need:
- Matching thread.
- 8 x 15mm (⅝″) buttons.
- 0.35m interfacing.
Please note: For some fabric widths and sizes, you may need to seam pieces of fabric together to accommodate the pattern pieces. Where necessary, this is clearly indicated on the pattern.
