ABOUT THE HARLENE DUNGAREES

A traditional pair of easy fitting dungarees. A hard-working wardrobe staple featuring classic detailing and optional top stitching. 

They come in sizes UK8-18 and UK20-28, and we also sell a complete dressmaking kit which includes everything you need to make the Harlene Dungarees.

THE REVIEW

I made these Merchant & Mills Harlene dungarees using a denim with a slight stretch, although the pattern does not require this. The pattern sizing is generous, so size 14 perfectly fitted my 6’, 17 year old son, who loves them!

I really enjoyed making them, especially the pockets and the topstitching, which I chose to do in the same colour. The instructions and diagrams are very clear, and end result very satisfying.

Next time, I might try adding a hammer loop on the outside seam of the right leg.
