    Description

    The Calyx Smock is named after the part of the flower where petals and fruit form. Finely balanced between the decorative and utilitarian, the idea for this smock emerged from the memory of the designer’s mothers hairdressing apron she wore in the late 70's combined with the handmade gathered smock she dressed her in at the same time. 

    This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 6 - 18.

    Suggested Fabrics:

    The Calyx Smock is suitable for many woven fabrics. From fine sheer light-weight silks for a full floaty romance to mid-weight denim when winter layering is needed.

    Don't use fabrics that are too thick to bind after gathering ie thick denim, jumbo cord, and coat weight fabrics.

    Pattern Fantastique core sizes are 6 -16, although some styles do go up to sizes 18 and 26. Their sizes are measured in accordance with general Australian sizing practices. Please double-check measurements as they will vary across countries.
