The Francesca Coat is a wonderfully versatile layering piece, combining effortless style with everyday practicality. Designed as an unlined coat or jacket, it has a relaxed shape with dropped shoulders, generous patch pockets and a simple open front. The collarless neckline keeps everything clean and contemporary, making Francesca an easy piece to throw on over almost anything.
With a choice of lengths and sleeve options, Francesca can be made to suit both your style and the season. Try lightweight linen for warmer days, denim or cotton for an everyday jacket, or make a cosy winter version in boiled wool, Melton or tweed. You can even dress it up in silk, damask or velvet for something a little more special.
Ciao Patterns are designed with clarity in mind. Each size is colour coded for easy tracing, while different line styles ensure the sizes remain easy to distinguish when printed in black and white.

XXS–7XL. Please refer to the Find Your Size tab for detailed body measurements.
Recommended Fabrics:
Linen, denim, cotton, poplin, lawn, gingham, boiled wool, wool blends, Melton, ponte, tweed, silk, damask, satin or velvet.

Returns
If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
