The Gilda Dress is all about effortless elegance, with a beautifully relaxed shape and plenty of lovely flowing movement. Easy to wear but still a little bit special, it’s the sort of dress that works just as well made in floaty viscose or silk for an occasion as it does in soft cotton voile or lightweight linen for everyday wear.
Gilda features a two-piece collar and placket, with gentle gathering creating its wonderfully easy shape. Choose from short, three-quarter or long sleeves to make a version to suit the season – and once you’ve made one, there’s plenty of scope to make another in a completely different fabric.
Rather than lots of individual sizes, Gilda is cleverly grouped into four size ranges, each designed to comfortably accommodate a range of body shapes while keeping that relaxed, elegant silhouette.
Ciao Patterns are designed with clarity in mind. Each size is colour coded for easy tracing, while different line styles ensure the sizes remain easy to distinguish when printed in black and white.
Sizes:
A–K, grouped into four size ranges: A–B–C, D–E–F, G–H–I and J–K. Please refer to the Find Your Size tab for detailed body measurements.
Recommended Fabrics:
Lightweight gauzy linen, viscose, silk, cotton voile or cotton shirting fabrics.

Returns
If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
