Marty is one of those patterns you can come back to again and again. With an impressive 150 possible combinations, it can be made as a top, tunic or dress, with a choice of hems, sleeves, collars and button plackets to create a completely different look each time.
Choose between a curved or tiered style, then add anything from a sleeveless finish to short, shirt, three-quarter or long elasticated sleeves. There are three collar options too – Mandarin, classic shirt or double shirt collar – plus a choice of polo-style or classic button plackets.
Marty works beautifully in lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics, from crisp cotton poplin and chambray to softer viscose, Tencel, silk or linen. With so many variations to play with, it’s a wonderfully versatile pattern for sewing through the seasons.
Important to Know: I AM Patterns are designed to be traced off. The pattern pieces overlap, so you will need to trace your chosen size before cutting. This allows you to preserve all the sizes on the original pattern and make adjustments as you trace. You can use tracing paper, baking parchment or thin wrapping paper, or try our spot and cross pattern paper.

Suggested Fabrics:
Lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, viscose, silk, Tencel, chambray, crêpe, lightweight denim, brushed cotton, cupro and linen.
Fabric Requirements:
With 150 possible combinations, the pattern does not list fabric requirements for every version. The quantities below are provided for versions A11, C1 and J10. Refer to the cutting section of the pattern instructions to calculate the requirements for the other versions.
The manufacturer's quantities are supplied in yards. The measurements below have been converted to metres and rounded up to the next 10cm.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
