The Panel Dress is an elegant mid-calf length dress with a beautifully simple shape and clever adjustable details. Side panels create the long, clean silhouette, while ties at each side allow you to gently draw the dress in for a comfortable, adjustable fit.
Shaping darts at the front give a neat finish through the bodice, while a keyhole opening at the back neckline and a centre back slit add subtle detail. Make it with or without topstitching depending on the look you're after – contrast stitching would be a lovely way to highlight the panelled construction.
Suggested Fabrics: Woven fabrics such as poplin, woven viscose and cotton twill. Choose a fabric with a little structure for a crisper silhouette, or something softer and more fluid for an elegant, drapier finish.
