Create a beautifully understated coat with our Francesca Coat Dressmaking Kit, featuring Capri, a premium Italian-woven linen and cotton blend chosen especially for its wonderful texture, drape and refined finish.
The Francesca Coat is an effortlessly elegant layering piece with a relaxed silhouette, dropped shoulders, generous patch pockets and a clean, collarless neckline. Designed to be unlined, its simple open front and easy shape allow the fabric to take centre stage, creating a coat that feels contemporary yet timeless. This kit includes enough material to make the long version, with the long sleeves.
Capri is a premium yarn-dyed cloth, woven in renowned Italian mills from a washed blend of linen and cotton. Delicate pin-stitch detailing runs across the face of the fabric, adding subtle texture and interest, while the reverse reveals a soft cream tone for a beautifully considered contrast. The washed finish gives the cloth a relaxed character while retaining the quality and structure needed to show off Francesca's clean lines.
The beauty of this fabric is in the detail, making it a particularly lovely choice for an unlined design where both sides of the cloth can be appreciated. Turn back the cuffs to reveal a glimpse of the contrasting cream reverse and make a feature of the fabric's beautiful construction.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
