The Sulis Hat is named for an ancient Celtic goddess of the sun, who was thought to reside by the thermal spring in Bath. The Sulis Hat has serious sun protection in mind but is a shape only worthy of the divine. With an offset brim which is deeper at the front and shorter at the back and a crafted form-fitting crown for a strong silhouette, the Sulis is reminiscent of 70’s era YSL fashion.
The outer hat is made from a mid blue denim and the inner hat and brim are made with Liberty Fabrics Pavilion Tana Lawn from their Classic Collection. There are removable ties made in Tana Lawn for when a blustery air god swings by and an optional crown trim for a little added finish. The Sulis remains soft and pliable so that it can be stashed in a beach bag or pressed into crisp perfection for special occasions.
