A crochet kit to make a stunning heirloom blanket made from the highest quality superfine merino and baby alpaca yarn. The kit is suitable for advanced beginners, it's not too tricky but some crochet experience is advised.

- 19 skeins of Plump DK from Mrs Moon . . . one skein of each colour, 7 of Pavlova for the outer edges of each square and 3 skeins of Peppermint Cream for the border.

Finished Measurements: 120cm x 72cm (approx), there is enough yarn to make 60 - 64 squares.

Care:
Mrs Moon yarn is made from the highest quality superfine merino and baby alpaca. These really are special and luxurious fibres and should be treated carefully! Having said that both yarns are suitable for delicate hand washing. Use a specialist detergent and do not agitate or twist the fibres to retain the gorgeous softness and shape of your garment.
Shedding: Because of the roving nature of Mrs Moon yarns (they are single ply, rather than tightly twisted), some shedding may occur. The best way to deal with this is spray your finished garment with water and leave to dry flat, naturally before the first wearing. This sets the fibres and should stop any problems.
Using the Yarn: The yarn comes in skeins. Before using you need to wind the skein into a ball or you will get into an awful tangled mess!
Ethical Provenance of Mrs Moon Yarns: The tops are from non-mulesed Merino sheep from ethical farms, all the wool is shorn and not a bi-product of the animal skin industry as the sheep are kept for wool production alone. The alpaca is also shorn, the animals being kept for fibre production only.
