Description
The Davenport Dress is one of those wonderfully easy dresses you can simply throw on and go. Relaxed, comfortable and full of pretty details, it has a loose, feminine shape that works just as well for everyday pottering as it does for days out.
The gathered neckline is finished with elastic, while a drawstring pulls the waist in to create as much or as little shape as you like. Full-length sleeves finish with softly ruffled elasticated cuffs, with an additional flutter detail at the shoulders. Best of all, there are lovely roomy pockets tucked into the skirt – always a welcome addition!
With no zips or button fastenings to tackle, the Davenport simply pulls on over the head. The skirt finishes above the knee, making it a lovely choice for lighter fabrics in spring and summer, or try something with a little more drape for a softer, dressier feel.

Suggested Fabrics:
Light to medium-weight woven fabrics. Cotton lawn and lightweight linen are lovely choices for an everyday dress, while viscose, rayon, silk or other softly draping fabrics will give the gathers and ruffles a more fluid finish.

Returns
