The Ciao Tina is a wonderfully simple layering piece with an easy oversized shape and plenty of scope to make it your own. Designed to slip on over shirts, tops and dresses, it’s a quick and satisfying project that can be made again and again in completely different fabrics.
Tina has a relaxed sleeveless shape with a gently curved neckline, side splits and two useful patch pockets. There are two ways to make it: View One uses simple overlapped seams for a clean, contemporary finish, while View Two uses plain seams with bias binding for a beautifully neat edge. This makes Tina particularly versatile when it comes to fabric choice, from boiled wool and felted wool to fleece, Ponte, double knits, quilted fabrics and bouclé.
A brilliant wardrobe layer for cooler days, Tina looks lovely worn over a crisp shirt or blouse, a simple long-sleeved top or lightweight knit. It’s also a great pattern for playing with texture and using up a special piece of fabric.
Ciao Patterns are designed with clarity in mind. Each size is colour coded for easy tracing, while different line styles ensure the sizes remain easy to distinguish when printed in black and white.

1–6 (UK 6–30 / US 2–26). Please refer to the Find Your Size tab for detailed body measurements.
Recommended Fabrics:
Boiled wool, double knits, fleece, Ponte knits, boiled wool and viscose blends, felted wool, faux fur, quilted fabrics, bouclé and other textured or fancy weaves.
Fabric Requirements:
Fabric requirements are based on 140cm wide fabric and apply to both directional and non-directional fabrics.

You'll Also Need:
- Matching thread
- For View Two: 4m of 18mm folded bias binding, or 20mm Japanese wool binding
- Alternatively, use a scrap of leftover fabric to make your own binding

Returns
If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
