    Description

This is a PDF Sewing Pattern which you will have to print.

The Ninot Jacket sewing pattern from Pauline Alice is a beautifully tailored design with a relaxed, feminine silhouette and thoughtful details. Featuring a distinctive deep inverted box pleat at the back, a shaped shoulder yoke and elegant welt pockets, Ninot offers two versatile styles, from a smart cropped jacket to a longer, easy-to-wear coat.

Both versions feature long sleeves, a neat round collar and a button-front fastening. The generous back pleat adds movement and creates a lovely shape, while the clean lines make Ninot particularly well suited to textured wool fabrics, tweed and boiled wool.

    Two versions to make:

    • View A – Short Jacket: A fully lined, hip-length jacket with a rounded collar, decorative button tabs at the back waist and buttoned sleeve tabs. A lovely choice for a smart everyday jacket with a slightly vintage feel.
    • View B – Long Jacket: An unlined, mid-thigh length jacket with a relaxed A-line shape. The longer silhouette and simple finish make it ideal for layering over everyday outfits.

Choose a traditional wool coating or tweed for a structured, tailored look, or try boiled wool for a softer finish. The back pleat and yoke are particularly effective in fabrics with enough body to hold their shape, making Ninot a lovely project for creating a distinctive handmade jacket.
