Featuring beautifully textured quilted jacquard cotton and striking hand block-printed Bagru cotton, this relaxed boxy jacket is as comfortable as it is stylish. Perfect for layering, it pairs effortlessly with jeans or linen trousers for an easy, everyday look.
Choose from various jacquard colourways, each lined with bold Indian print cotton and finished with a contrasting bias trim.
Unlike traditional quilted fabrics, this jacquard has no batting. Its softly padded texture is created by thicker yarns woven directly into the cloth. The reverse side features a soft, gauzy cotton for added comfort and wearability.
This project is ideal for intermediate makers and those looking to sew something unique and versatile.

All you need is a sharp pair of scissors, a fresh needle in your machine, and a nice cup of tea!
Important Notes:
- Pre-wash the lining: As the Bagru fabric is traditionally hand-dyed, we recommend washing it twice before use. Add a handful of table salt to the machine drum at 30-40°C to help fix the dye.
- Fraying alert: The quilted jacquard is prone to fraying. Overlock or zigzag raw edges before sewing to maintain structure.
- Care Instructions: Cool wash, do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Iron on a low setting.
- Please note: Variations and small irregularities in Indian fabrics are part of their handmade charm, not flaws.
