Join us for the day and learn how to make a traditional lampshade. Using the fabric of your choice you will learn how to make a 'soft' shade on a bowed empire frame - a classic traditional style of lampshade.
About your Teacher:
Jane Warren is one talented lady, and an excellent tutor. She has many years of making lampshades under her belt.

Skills:
Ideal for complete beginners, or for those wanting to try something new.
Materials:
- About half a metre of full width fabric, or larger, depending on the print or design you have chosen.
- If you wish you may also bring 1 metre of trim for the base - pom pom, tassel, braid or anything stretchy. You can alternatively make bias on the day from your fabric.
- £12 for the frame which is paid directly to the tutor on the day.
Venue:
The workshop is held in a bright and airy venue four minute's walk from our Clothkits shop. We will rendezvous on day one at Clothkits to collect any supplies needed and then take the short walk to the venue. Clothkits shop is located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
